FR C’est en 1978, dans un contexte d’effervescence culturelle et artistique que naît le label Igloo, fruit de la rencontre de passionnés et défenseurs de la création musicale singulière.
En 2008, Igloo célébrait ses 30 ans au Marni, nous l’accueillons à nouveau 10 ans plus tard, pour une soirée inédite qui réunira pionniers et jeune génération. Car avec un catalogue proche des 400 références, le label bruxellois peut se targuer d’avoir contribué à la richesse du jazz en Belgique.
On écoutera d’abord le trio du trompettiste le plus en vogue du moment, Jean-Paul Estiévenart, suivi de ceux que l’on surnomme les « Magnificent Seven » de la jeune scène du jazz : le LG Jazz Collective accompagnés d’un invité surprise d’exception.
La soirée se prolongera dans le bar au rythme d’un DJ-set aux vinyles 100% jazz.
NL Het label Igloo zag in 1978 het licht binnen een bruisende culturele en artistieke context, als initiatief van een aantal gepassioneerde en fervente voorstanders van originele muzikale creaties.
In 2008 vierde Igloo zijn 30-jarige bestaan in het Marni Theater, vandaag, tien jaar later, verwelkomen we het label opnieuw voor een hoogst originele ontmoeting tussen pioniers en aankomend talent. Met een catalogus van om en bij de 400 referenties, mag het Brusselse label trots terugblikken op zijn indrukwekkende bijdrage aan de bloei van de Belgische jazz.
Eerst luisteren we naar het trio van de momenteel bijzonder gewaardeerde trompettist Jean-Paul Estiévenart. Dan volgt een groep uit de jonge jazzscène, het LG Jazz Collective, ook gekend als de « Magnificent Seven », vergezeld van een onverwachte en bijzondere gast.
De avond wordt voortgezet in de bar op het ritme van een dj-set met 100% jazzplaten.
EN 1978 was the year when, in a time of cultural and artistic effervescence, the Igloo label was born – the fruit of a meeting of ardent enthusiasts and advocates of unusual musical creations.
In 2008, Igloo celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Marni. 10 years on we have the pleasure of welcoming them again for an unprecedented evening that unites original pioneers and the younger generation. With a repertoire of almost 400 titles, this Brussels label prides itself on having made a considerable contribution to the wealth of jazz in Belgium.
First off we will hear the trio of the most popular trumpet player of the moment, Jean-Paul Estiévenart, followed by the band nicknamed the "Magnificent Seven" from the young jazz scene : the LG Jazz Collective accompanied by an exceptional guest.
The evening will continue in the bar to the rhythm of a DJ-set with 100% jazz vinyl records.
