LAURENT BLONDIAU

EN Recent winner of the SABAM Jazz Award, Laurent Blondiau sparkles both by virtue of his presence and his desire to explode/atomise the boundaries of jazz. Multitalented musician, tireless traveller, he flits between projects, bursting with ideas, setting the international scene ablaze with his talent.
Projects under his belt include the (Mik)Mâäk collective, Octurn, MixTuur, Les Ventistes du Faso : so many projects so varied in nature that reveal the remarkable open-mindedness of one of the most sought-after musicians on the Belgian and international scene. An obvious choice for the River Jazz Night with its never-ending horizons !

18:00 JAZZ STATION : LAURENT BLONDIAU QUARTET

EN For this first part of the soirée, Laurent Blondiau reunites with some old friends, with whom he has shared many musical, and human, adventures (Dreamtime, etc...). A “classic jazz quartet” playing a repertoire of original compositions, mixing the diverse influences drawn from the different members’ musical trajectories. The quartet is built around a perfect rhythm section : a team of meticulous, refined musicians, each capable of effortlessly attuning body and soul to the interpretations of the group.

22:00 BAR MARNI BAR : LAURENT BLONDIAU SEXTET
