B.MOON est une performance immersive qui explore l’hybridité entre culture urbaine et danse contemporaine. Porté par le duo formé par le danseur et chorégraphe Mimbi Lubansu (P.A.R.T.S.) et le DJ autodidacte Alleyways (Amaury Ruell), ce spectacle propose un dialogue direct et organique entre le corps et le son.
Un héritage en mouvement
Le nom du projet, B.MOON, puise ses racines dans l’histoire personnelle de Mimbi Lubansu. Inspiré par le groupe de rap new-yorkais des années 90 « Black Moon » — favori de son père et point de départ de son propre parcours artistique — le spectacle retrace les transformations de la culture hip-hop. D’outil social de revendication à voie d’introspection individuelle, cette culture est ici célébrée comme un « mouvement » universel et pluriversel.
Un dialogue organique et horizontal
Au cœur de la performance, le duo DJ/Danseur incarne une relation symbiotique où musique et mouvement se répondent en temps réel. Loin de la structure classique où le son accompagne simplement la danse, B.MOON repose sur une co-création réciproque : une négociation constante, une discussion épidermique où la danse réagit aux beats et aux manipulations du DJ, et inversement.
Une esthétique immersive et technologique
Inspirée de l’esthétique des concerts de musiques urbaines, la scénographie place le public au cœur d’un dispositif sensoriel. Entre l’utilisation de projections vidéo enregistrées en direct, une dramaturgie sonore explorant les codes des cultures émergentes et une recherche chorégraphique mêlant gestuelle contemporaine et énergie du Krump, le spectacle crée un univers visuel brut et dynamique.

B.MOON is een meeslepende voorstelling die de vermenging tussen stedelijke cultuur en hedendaagse dans verkent. Onder leiding van het duo, bestaande uit danser en choreograaf Mimbi Lubansu (P.A.R.T.S.) en autodidactische DJ Alleyways (Amaury Ruell), biedt deze voorstelling een directe en organische dialoog tussen lichaam en geluid.
Een erfgoed in beweging
De naam van het project, B.MOON, vindt zijn oorsprong in de persoonlijke geschiedenis van Mimbi Lubansu. Geïnspireerd door de New Yorkse rapgroep uit de jaren 90 “Black Moon” — de favoriet van zijn vader en het startpunt van zijn eigen artistieke parcours — volgt de voorstelling de transformaties van de hiphopcultuur. Van sociaal instrument voor protest tot weg naar individuele introspectie, deze cultuur wordt hier gevierd als een universele en pluriversele “beweging”.
Een organische en horizontale dialoog
Centraal in de voorstelling staat het duo DJ/danser, dat een symbiotische relatie belichaamt waarin muziek en beweging in realtime op elkaar inspelen. Ver verwijderd van de klassieke structuur waarin de muziek de dans louter begeleidt, is B.MOON gebaseerd op een wederzijdse co-creatie : een voortdurende onderhandeling, een intuïtieve dialoog waarin de dans reageert op de beats en de manipulaties van de DJ, en omgekeerd.
Een meeslepende en technologische esthetiek
De scenografie, geïnspireerd op de esthetiek van urbanmuziekconcerten, plaatst het publiek midden in een zintuiglijke ervaring. Door het gebruik van live opgenomen videoprojecties, een geluidsregie die de codes van opkomende culturen verkent en een choreografie die hedendaagse bewegingen combineert met de energie van de krump, creëert de voorstelling een rauw en dynamisch visueel universum.

A legacy in motion
The project’s name, B.MOON, draws its roots from Mimbi Lubansu’s personal history. Inspired by the 1990s New York rap group ‘Black Moon’ — a favourite of his father’s and the starting point of his own artistic journey — the show traces the transformations of hip-hop culture. From a social tool for protest to a path of individual introspection, this culture is celebrated here as a universal and pluriversal ‘movement’.
