Écrire avec une branche d’arbre en équilibre sur le papier, dessiner en jonglant avec des boules trempées dans l’encre, jeter des morceaux de charbon de bois sur une toile pour créer une forme… Fabian Krestel défriche de nouveaux moyens ludiques de traduire le mouvement de façon visuelle, en utilisant la jonglerie comme outil de création picturale. Par la précision des gestes ambidextres, la géométrie des lignes et des points utilisés, il invente une étonnante grammaire artistique qui cherche un chemin entre le processus et le produit. Le public assiste – voire participe – au mariage d’une discipline de cirque avec une technique de dessin. Les motifs issus de la jonglerie existent alors comme des œuvres à part entière.
Fabian Krestel
est un danseur et chorégraphe basé à Bruxelles qui a suivi une formation officielle d’artiste de cirque. À travers ses recherches et ses performances, Fabian souhaite explorer les frontières entre les arts du spectacle et les beaux-arts. Son engagement dans l’exploration artistique reflète une véritable fascination pour les subtilités du processus créatif.
Schrijven met een tak die op het papier balanceert, tekenen terwijl je jongleert met in inkt gedoopte ballen, stukjes houtskool op een doek gooien om een vorm te creëren... Fabian Krestel verkent nieuwe, speelse manieren om beweging visueel weer te geven, waarbij hij jongleren gebruikt als een middel om beelden te creëren. Door de precisie van zijn tweehandige bewegingen en de geometrie van de gebruikte lijnen en punten, vindt hij een verrassende artistieke grammatica uit die een weg zoekt tussen het proces en het product. Het publiek is getuige van – en neemt zelfs deel aan – de combinatie van een circustak met een tekentechniek. De motieven die voortkomen uit het jongleren bestaan dan als volwaardige kunstwerken.

is een in Brussel gevestigde danser en choreograaf met een formele opleiding als circusartiest. Door middel van zijn onderzoek en voorstellingen wil Fabian de grenzen van podiumkunsten en beeldende kunst verkennen. Zijn toewijding aan artistieke verkenning weerspiegelt een oprechte fascinatie voor de complexiteit van het creatieve proces.

Through the precision of his ambidextrous movements and the geometry of the lines and dots he uses, he invents an astonishing artistic grammar that seeks a path between process and product. The audience witnesses – and even participates in – the marriage of a circus discipline with a drawing technique. The patterns created by juggling then exist as works of art in their own right.
