FR Fumihiro Ueoka appartient à la 3èmegénération née après la bombe atomique. Il est né à Hiroshima en 1982.
Sa démarche artistique s’articule autour de la place de l’Homme dans l’Univers, de son ignorance face à ses origines et du Temps. Ses personnages flottants sont remplis de motifs cellulaires répétitifs.
Il a étudié la peinture traditionnelle japonaise, s’inspire d’Einstein, Nietzsche, Basquiat, Modigliani, Picasso, … Il vit depuis 2013 à Bruxelles où il a été désigné artiste coup de cœur au parcours d’artistes de Saint-Gilles en 2014
NL Fumihiro Ueoka behoort tot de 3de generatie Japanners geboren na de atoombom. Hij kwam ter wereld in Hiroshima in 1982.
Als kunstenaar is hij geïnteresseerd in de plaats van de Mens in het Universum en in zijn onwetendheid ten opzichte van zijn oorsprong en van de Tijd. Zijn zwevende personages zijn gevuld met repetitieve cellulaire motieven.
Na zijn studies traditionele Japanse schilderkunst zoekt hij inspiratie bij Einstein, Einstein, Nietzsche, Basquiat, Modigliani, Picasso, … Ueoka leeft sinds 2013 in Brussel waar hij werd gekozen als ‘coup de cœur’-kunstenaar tijdens het Parcours d’Artistes van Sint-Gillis in 2014.

His work studies the place of Mankind in the Universe, its ignorance of its origin and of that of Time. His floating characters are filled with repeated cellular patterns.
He studied traditional Japanese painting, and draws his inspiration from Einstein, Nietzsche, Basquiat, Modigliani, Picasso, … He moved to Brussels in 2013 and was voted one of the public’s favourites in the 2014 St Gilles Parcours d’Artistes.
