Soutenu par une rythmique solide et créative composée de Benoît Vanderstraeten et Bruno Castellucci , le groupe voyage avec brio entre compositions et reprises et standards de jazz.

« Improviser à la guitare solo est un challenge que j’aime relever en concert depuis quasi 20 ans ». Dans son dernier album solo, Alain Pierre a enregistré sans artifice, sans re-recording. Ses compositions personnelles mettent en valeur les différentes sonorités des guitares classique, acoustiques à 6 et 12 cordes et d’une guitare fretless. Pour le festival, il invite le percussionniste Etienne Plumer aux tablas afin de partager les sonorités typiques de l’Inde.
Ce concert est l’occasion de dévoiler cette nouvelle musique au grand jour et de relever une fois de plus le défi du solo en public.

« Improviseren op de sologitaar is een uitdaging die ik, al zowat 20 jaar, graag aanga tijdens concerten ». Alain Pierre nam zijn eerste soloalbum op zonder kunst- en vliegwerk en zonder re-recording. In zijn eigen composities focust hij op de uiteenlopende klanken van klassieke, akoestische gitaren (6 tot 12 snaren) en van een fretloze gitaar. Voor het festival nodigt hij percussionist Etienne Plumer uit om met zijn tabla de typische klanken van India op te wekken.

“Improvising solo guitar is a challenge that I have enjoyed performing in concert for about 20 years”. Alain Pierre recorded his last solo album without effects or re-takes. His personal compositions showcase the different sounds of classic guitars, 6- and 12-string acoustic guitars and fretless guitars. For the festival, he has invited the percussionist Etienne Plumer playing tablas to share the traditional sounds of India.
